More mosquito talk:   I walked the beach the other day heading south and decided to get a drink at Pablos, so cut through the deserted campground.  While doing this I noticed several septic and roof vents not covered.    Not sure if the old tank gets fluids anymore but recovered these also.     But decided to do a test on the one closest to the gate entrance.     So I built a system to start by seeing if it had mosquitoes, screened in a tube so they cannot get away.    And then to see if I can design a one way trap.    IE they can fly in but not out is the optimistic goal.    Because this septic vent is at ground level and no-one is in that area it is a great place to experiment.    So far I have demonstrated yes there are mosquitoes there wanting to come out.    I am not letting them out anymore.    They are my test subjects.

Also I have found a source on the internet that finally acknowledges that this mosquito (aedes aegypti) breeds in septic tanks, in the expert community they have always said they do not, we have known this for years here.    I have a link to that study if you are interested, it is on the following links.   If you want  to follow my experiments to date and as time goes, I have set up a webpage as I do my testing/experiments.
